Vanderbilt Food for Thought - Nov 4th and December 2nd

In partnership with the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, "Food for Thought: Kandinsky―Exploring Connections between Music, Science, Spirituality, and the Visual Arts,” is a lecture series presented by Vanderbilt professors, Frist Center curators, and members of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. This series provides the community at large with an opportunity to build challenging intellectual connections to the exhibition  Kandinsky: A Retrospective.

EVENT Held at the FRIST CENTER AUDITORIUM 12:00-1:00 pm Lunch served at 11:30 am
Free with advance registration; lunch and gallery admission included.  To register, call 615-322-8585 or register online at https://foodforthoughtnovember4.eventbrite.com .   You must register to receive a complimentary lunch.  Boxed lunches will be provided for the first 250 people to respond.

Sarratt Art Studios has hired new instructors, designed new classes and revamped its schedule for the fall 2014 semester. Saturday University Fall 2014

This fall’s lecture series is titled, “Unusual Suspects: Characters Who Made History." Four acclaimed professors from Vanderbilt’s History department will be presenting these lectures.

October 25:   Professor Jane Landers

November 1:   Professor Frank Wcislo

November 8:    Professor Tom Schwartz

November 15:  Professor Joel Harrington

The lectures will be given in Cohen Memorial Hall in room 203.  The lectures will begin at 9:30 and end around 11:00. Refreshments will be available before hand in the Cohen foyer.
