Blair School of Music Vanderbilt University Concerts &  Class Opportunities

Upcoming concert series dates;

  • On Feb. 8, there will be a dedication of the new Dobson pipe organ in Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall. Construction and installation of the organ were made possible through a generous gift from Cal Turner Jr. and Laura Dugas.
  • On Feb. 26, violinist Carolyn Huebl and pianist Mark Wait present the world premiere of a new work commissioned from composer Michael Hersch.
  • On March 15, VORTEX percussion presents the Southestern U.S. premiere performance of the American Gamelan.
  • March 24-28, Blair hosts the biennial conference of the College Band Directors National Association, including the debut performance with Béla Fleck of a wind ensemble arrangement of The Imposter, the concerto Fleck composed for and performed with the Nashville Symphony.

Sarratt Art Studios Vanderbilt University Class Opportunities

Sarratt Art Studios has hired new instructors, designed new classes and revamped its schedule for the fall 2014 semester. OLLI members have the opportunity to enroll at the Vanderbilt Alumni discounted rate for Sarratt Art Studio classes, like pottery, digital photography or jewelry making.
