Dr. Drew Pinsky was the final speaker for the 2013-14 Project Dialogue Season. On Thursday, March 20th at 7:30pm in the Student Life Center Ballrooms, Pinsky spoke on “When Painkillers Become Dangerous.”

In a laid back style, Dr. Pinsky began speaking of addiction and the root causes. Taking questions from the audience throughout, the discussion ranged from addiction to alcohol abuse, from prescription drug abuse to the current “hook-up” culture, and from legalization of marijuana to current medical practices. Filled with thought provoking facts, laughter and stories, Dr. Pinsky won over the crowd from the first moment. Having his personality shine through, members of the audience trusted him and shared their own personal addiction stories. Letting the audience guide the way, the talk reached every person in attendance. Staying long after to sign books, take photos and discuss further, Dr. Drew was more than a TV personality to visit our campus, he became a trusted friend.
