New Venture valuation seminar set for July 23

Understanding the valuation of early-stage businesses and related intellectual property is critical for new business ventures.  This information helps determine business strategy, financial modeling and the overall potential for a business.  It’s also a complicated and rigorous process – one that Life Science Tennessee and Cumberland Emerging Technologies wants to help area entrepreneurs and inventors navigate.

On Tuesday, July 23, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., Glenn Perdue, Nashville-based valuation expert, will lead a seminar sponsored by Life Science Tennessee and Cumberland Emerging Technologies to help participants understand how and why it’s important to understand business and IP valuation.

During this seminar, Glenn will guide participants through hypothetical cases, including early-stage companies commercializing biopharmaceutical compound and another commercializing software-as-a-service (SaaS).  A question and answer session will follow.

Glenn is a managing member of Kraft Analytics, LLC, an affiliate of Kraft CPAs in Nashville that provides valuation, litigation support and transaction advisory support to businesses and attorneys.  Glenn, a certified valuation analyst (CVA), certified forensic financial analyst (CFFA) and certified licensing professional (CLP), is also a board member of Life Sciences Tennessee and the Nashville Technology Council.

The seminar is free, but those interested are asked to RSVP (click here). The seminar will be held at Cumberland Emerging Technologies, located at 110 10th Ave. South, Suite 102.
