The Cal Turner Program develops ethical leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration in three primary areas.
The Cal Turner Program Fellowship is awarded to students from each of Vanderbilt University’s participating professional schools, with the purpose of supporting their leadership development. In exchange for their participation, fellows receive the benefits of collaboration, experience and education.
The Cal Turner Program has also partnered with the Scarritt-Bennett Center to develop the Woman to Woman leadership program. This unique initiative brings together women of all occupations from the Nashville area and supports the re-imagination of female leadership and creativity.
The Cal Turner Program has started a working group to address a fundamental moral challenge facing American society: the rate and forms of incarceration in this country. The CTP Working Group on Re-Visioning Justice will convene academics and activists to consider the problems that attend mass incarceration and the death penalty, and to strategize ways to address them.
