Connect with Alumni
You have access to a powerful network of alumni who are willing to share information and referrals. LinkedIn and VUconnect are two online resources you can use to build your personal network.
As the world's largest professional career-oriented social network, LinkedIn is a terrific tool for finding and creating connections with Vanderbilt alumni and other professionals.
The Center for Student Professional Development's LinkedIn networking group is open to all Vanderbilt University students, alumni, parents, employers, and other members of the Vanderbilt community. This group aims to help Vanderbilt students establish professional connections and build relationships with alumni, parents, and employers, and it provides a forum for sharing internship and job-related information and referrals.
To join the Center's group, you'll need to register for an account and set up your professional profile. If you are new to LinkedIn or would like advice on improving your profile, drop by the Center during walk-in hours and speak with one of our coaches. View current walk-in hours and locations on our home page.
VUconnect is a global, online Vanderbilt resource that will put you in touch with alumni who are willing to share information and referrals. With VUconnect you can build alumni networking relationships, search for career advice and find a VU alumni chapter near you for fun and educational events.
Connect with fellow Commodores wherever you are. The Alumni Association has chapters in most major U.S. cities and several foreign countries. All students are invited to attend every Alumni Chapter event!
Check out the Alumni Association Chapter events in your hometown or target location to make new connections and network.
